GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. What is Xpress FotoŽ?
Xpress FotoŽ is a private business dedicated to capturing event and special occasion photography with participants in action. The photo proofs are viewable at the event shortly after the are taken on our self operated viewing stations. Up to 8x10 prints are then available immediately to be taken home with the participants from the event. We then post all our images within a few days after the event on the Internet and they can then be purchased on line. Photos (up to 8x10 inches) or posters (up to 24x36). are shipped within a few days after the order is received.

3. Can I use your images for other than just hanging on my wall?

Xpress Foto images are Copyrighted and we retain all rights to their use. Federal Copyright Laws prohibit duplication of any of these images by printing labs, copiers and especially digital scanners. Click here for more on

We are very flexible and will grant permission to use our images for:

 

Personal use, such as in publications and personal Web pages to illustrate your personal achievements will not cost you anything, but we do require the following for the use:

1. You include a credit line that reads either "ŠPhoto by L. Chaudoir-Nye of Xpress Foto" or "Photo courtesy of Xpress Foto". On personal websites, the image must link to our contact web page.

 

Commercial use, to promote your business, sell products or animals, or advertise breeding services constitutes a commercial use that does require written permission (signed Release form) and payment of a Usage Fee. Please call, write or e-mail in advance for a quote of these fees. These fees are based upon the actual usage, so you are only paying for what you need and therefore, keep the prices lower versus paying for rights you do not need.

We welcome your request and inquiry. Xpress Foto offers you the opportunity to enhance your next event and capture memorable moments for event participants. The instant gratification received from Xpress Foto is often found to be one the most exciting components of every event we attend. 2. Are there any geographic restrictions where event photos are taken?

There are no geographic restrictions, however, most of our event coverage is in the Midwest area and other areas may require additional preparation time and possible travel expenses to cover an event.

We have a high-resolution logo available to include in your literature. Kindly request that logo file from us by emailing your request to info@XpressFoto.com. We can also provide some descriptive text of our services that may be edited to suit your particular circumstances.

6. Can event pictures be taken but not be public for everyone to see?

Yes, we can limit access to your event photos with a User ID and Password. Kindly request such preferences before the event pictures are taken and you must make the necessary arrangements to provide the User ID and Password to all participants. Xpress FotoŽ can assist in this effort but we may charge administrative fees to do so.

7. Will your photographers take pictures of any kind of event?

Xpress FotoŽ photographers will take pictures of any event, however, we will not be involved in, process or post pornographic, sexually suggestive or compromising photos. We may require written permission to post questionable photos and reserve the right not to post and/or remove any photos that we deem inappropriate.

2. How long will it take before I receive the photos or products I ordered?

Your order is usually processed and mailed to you within a few days to one week after receipt.

3. I can't find my photo?


If you looked through the event and still can't find your pictures, there may be a possibility that we didn't catch you with one of our photographers, our photographers may have had to change 'film' or tend to some other issue just as you passed their location. Or your picture may have been blurry or improperly exposed. Event photography can be an intense and demanding task and we ask for your understanding if not every shot is perfect or every participant is captured.

4. How long will these photos stay on the Internet?


Our event photo proofs will stay on our website until we need the storage space. Usually 1 year. After that time, it becomes increasingly difficult to locate the images and additional charges may be applied. All the image identification information would need to be supplied by you.

We often have the images after they are taken off our website, but you will need to have the image information for us to locate it. There will also be an archive retrieval fee in addition to the print cost.

5. What can I do to prepare myself for an upcoming event?

The best way to prepare for an upcoming event where Xpress FotoŽ is taking the event pictures is to remember the time of day and level when you participate in your event. All of our photos are organized by the level and time of day they were taken. Other then that, be sure to smile when you see the photographer (it makes for a much nicer picture), enjoy the event and leave the photography up to us!
